Surface design for household items My mushroom pattern, illustrated to fit the surface of an enamel mug, is turned into a ceramic decal, applied to the enamel surface and fired in a high-temperature kiln. Another clear enamel coating is applied on top, and thus the surface design is finished.

Enamel mug collection

Together with a family-owned factory in Poland that uses traditional, handmade methods, I have made a collection of enamel ware, for camping as well as everyday use.

My handmade patterns, illustrated to fit the surface of an enamel mug, are turned into ceramic decals, then applied to the enamel surface and fired in a high-temperature kiln. Another clear enamel coating is applied on top, and thus the surface design is finished.

Embellishment

My great grandfather was a jewellery smith, and my grandmother worked in his smithy as an engraver. When I inherited her tools, I started hand embellishing books.

Fungi Collectible Cards

A fun guide to recognising and discovering mushroom species from all over the world!

Inspired by old timey collectible cards I created this series of mycology themed collectible cards through which you can learn about different mushroom species, card by card.

Mushroom key on the back
On the front of each card you find an artistic illustration of the species, and on the back of the card you find a guide to different facts which serve helpful when identifying the species.

Kid friendly
The cards are for practising mushroom identification and focus on the characteristics and ecology that can be valuable knowledge when coming across the species in the wild. I decided to not include information on the edibility of a species as I find it safer this way in case this is a gift for a child. It's safer if children are guided by an adult when it comes to the subject of edibility, or that older children use the cards as a compliment to field guides on the subject.

Spore print
I added the colour of spore print for each species as this can be a fun activity for both children and adults to explore!

The question mark
The little question mark on the back of the card indicates trivia about the species and can be used as little game to practice your fungi knowledge. Ask a friend to conceal the front of the card and read the trivia out loud and have you guess the species!

Illustrations
The illustrations are artistic and the cards are meant as a mere, fun compliment to field guides; numerous visual sources are required in order to understand what a species look like.
